Glass-blower and jewelry artist Stacey Siegel grew up attracted to glass. Her fascination grew from seed bead weaving to stained glass, to the hot glass world.

Apprenticing in a Santa Fe glass-blowing studio, she developed miniature perfume bottles and vases and hand-blown glass beads. The smaller set up allowed her to move to the Big Island 23 years ago, and set up her home studio.

Here, surrounded by South Kona’s tropical terrain, Stacey combines her glass beads with other glass elements and metal fabrications in her own signature style of jewelry. Her feature pieces include beaded Mandala earrings and handwoven, beaded necklaces with handmade precious metal clay (PMC) components.
